We recommend all your designs are supplied in an Apple Macintosh format for optimum quality. Below are our guidelines for some of the most common creative applications.
Adobe Photoshop:
Please save as TIFF, EPS or JPG file format.
QuarkXpress:
Please include all linked image files (EPS, TIFF, etc) and fonts used.
Adobe Illustrator
Please include all embedded or linked images, and ensure all live text is converted to outlines.
Corel Draw
Please save files as TIFF, EPS or JPG format, and ensure all live text is converted to outlines.
Macromedia Freehand
Please save files as TIFF, EPS or JPG format, and ensure all live text is converted to outlines.
Further tips:
Below are some further tips to ensure you get the best possible quality from ecoprintingco.com when supplying your artwork.
Fonts:
Please supply all screen and PostScript fonts, unless you have converted all live text to outlines.
Colours:
Please ensure all colours on documents are set to CMYK.
Resolution:
When supplying bitmapped or rasterised images, please ensure that they are scanned at 300dpi and are placed at 100% scale, otherwise quality may be compromised.
Bleed (trim) & cutting:
All files should be set up with a 3mm bleed for cutting. If files are supplied without bleed they will be given a border, so they can be cut correctly. For printing to be finished correctly, please ensure that any text or logos are at least 4mm away from the edge.
Proofs:
We recommend all jobs are supplied with a colour proof. This helps us to ensure you receive from us exactly what you're expecting.
Not accepted by ecoprintingco.com:
Please note we do not accept documents that are designed in any of the following formats or colour settings:
Pagemaker, Photopaint Pro, any Microsoft program, RGB, Indexed colour, PICT or Lab colour.
